Currently, it provides the rudimentary foundation to take\u00a0advantage of things like Accelerated 2D graphics, encryption, and\u00a0hardware cursor support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>==== For developers ====<br \/>\nFor developers there are all sorts of additional goodies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>D: Fedora 14 introduces support for D, a systems programming\u00a0language combining the power and high performance of C and C++ with\u00a0the programmer productivity of modern languages such as Ruby and\u00a0Python.<\/li>\n<li>Python 2 upgrade: The system python 2 stack has been upgraded to 2.7.<\/li>\n<li>GNUStep: A GUI framework based of the Objective-C programming\u00a0language which is part of the gcc.<\/li>\n<li>Memory Debugging Tools: The new &#8220;gdb-heap&#8221; package adds a new &#8220;heap&#8221;\u00a0command to \/usr\/bin\/gdb which allows you to get a breakdown of how a\u00a0process is using dynamic memory.<\/li>\n<li>Rakudo Star: An implementation of Perl version 6, based on the Parrot VM.<\/li>\n<li>Support for Milkymist: Developers can enjoy developing for\u00a0Milkymist, an open hardware embedded board, on Fedora 14. Thanks to\u00a0the Fedora Electronic Lab for their work in this regard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>==== For system administrators ====<br \/>\nAnd don&#8217;t think we forgot about the system administrators:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fedora is now available for users of the Amazon Elastic Computing\u00a0Cloud service, released concurrently with the traditional release.<\/li>\n<li>virt-v2v assists in the easy migration of Xen virtual machines to\u00a0KVM virtual machines.<\/li>\n<li>A Virtualization Technology Preview Repo allows users to test the\u00a0very latest developments in virtualization related packages.<\/li>\n<li>Varnish has been updated and includes improved scalability and a new\u00a0log function.<\/li>\n<li>Apache has been updated and includes a number of module and security fixes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>And that&#8217;s only the beginning. Updated versions of many packages, as\u00a0usual, will be available in Fedora 14.
